Shin sore??? You can avoid it!!!
Shin pain happens mostly to runners who are beginners, however, it does not come as a rule. I came across quite a few experienced runners with a similar problem. It was found that the most common causes of this injury was overtraining, worn- out, old shoes as well as running on extremely hard surfaces, which are too tough for running. Whenever you feel a pain in your shin, cease running for a few days. It is a good idea to replace your running training with swimming or cycling.
To relieve the pain, make a compress on your shins. If you use worn-out shoes, get yourself new ones instead. Stretch your leg muscles, after returning to running, at the beginning, try to reduce speed and distance of your run and, above all, do not run on hard surface. When pain vanishes, do not ever stop stretching your leg muscles and start to strengthen them.
