BCAA - What is it???
Branched Chained Amino Acid -BCAA : L-Leucine, L-Valine and L- Isoleucine are the three of eight amino acids which cannot be synthesized by the body itself, so we need to deliver them with food. Thanks to the specific construction of these amino acids, they are not metabolized in the liver, but they are being taken with the blood stream straight to the muscles. As a result, up to 35% of muscle mass consists of the BCAA.
Where it is???
Milk and dairy products are the natural and rich source of these amino acids. However, milk contains lactose as well as animal fats which, unfortunately, can turn into body fat. That is why it is suggested to consume BCAAs in the form of a dietary supplement.
